Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
Amoroma, in the Rheem Valley Shopping Center, is a great place to eat after a day of shopping. The er filetto in cazzarola or vitello alla piccata are what make this Italian restaurant a local favorite. The pasta is made fresh, in-house, every day. The cheeses and vinegar are imported from Italy to provide authentic flavors. Along with a fantastic dinner, Amoroma also has wine tastings and brunch.
Anyone looking for Chinese food can find excellent dishes at Chef Chao Restaurant, a family-run business that’s been in Moraga for more than 35 years. They serve a modern version of classic Szechuan and Mandarin Chinese cuisine. The Mandarin beef, Hunan prawns, and Szechuan pork have residents returning regularly.
Moraga Country Club is the exclusive place for anyone who enjoys playing a round of golf or racquet sports. The club provides dining with savory cuisine and drinks that can hold events for up to 60 people. Swimmers will also enjoy the club’s aquatic center, which is open year-round.

The annual Pear and Wine Festival celebrates the heritage of the town and the fall harvest. This festival hosts fun activities for children, fall treats, and amazing local wine. Held at the Hacienda de las Flores Park during September, this is a great way to start off the fall season.
To get outdoors, residents can explore the Mulholland Ridge Open Space located off Moraga Road. This green space is 260 acres of open nature that overlooks Mount Diablo. This is a dog-friendly park, as long as pets are on a leash.
Hacienda Nights is a fun event for the whole family at Hacienda de Las Flores Park in June. Food trucks, lawn games, and live music help kick off the summer and bring people out to enjoy the sunny weather.
During the start of the holiday season, Moraga hosts the Holiday Tree Lighting. The event includes a visit from Santa, where guests can receive hot cocoa, holiday music, and cookies, followed by the tree lighting that continues to light up every night until the end of the holiday.
